The Contra Costa Labor Council's hardship fund is a financial assistance program established to help union members and their families in times of financial difficulty. The fund provides financial support to workers facing unexpected financial emergencies such as medical bills, loss of income, and other financial hardships.

Hardship Eligibility Criteria:

• Union member in good standing of a union affiliated with Contra Costa Central Labor Council and work in Contra Costa County

• The hardship must be the result of a strike, layoff, and/or catastrophic event

• Hardship grants are limited to up to a certain amount per each 12 months

• Explanation of hardship submitted with the application
